James Ervin is a Canadian Screen Music Award Nominated multi-instrumentalist/film and television composer based in Toronto. 

     What started with attending the local band camp at the age of 11 has blossomed  into a musical career, which has found James performing worldwide with Juno & Grammy Award winning artists such as Ms. Lauryn Hill, The Tenors, Shawn Mendez, and Walk Off The Earth, and composing unique and original films scores for a wide array of film and television projects. James’ scores have aired on Lifetime Television Network's My Evil Stepmom and Evil Ex Next Door, CW/Bell Network's Ordinary Girl in a Tiara and TUBI's Twin Lies, to name a few. 

     Further writing credits include having written additional music for Hallmark's Twas The Date Before Christmas, Orchestral Arrangements featured on Francois Klark's 2023 Juno Nominated record Adventure Book, and producing both songs and orchestral score for Illuminarium’s interactive musical Journey to Oz.  

    Whether it’s for the screen or the stage, James loves the collaboration process that is required to make great music and great films.
